George P. Washburn has prepared plans for a store building for M. Dumont to be erected on the site of the present frame structure at 121 south Main street.  The building will be of stone, one story high, 40 feet deep.  the plans are for an ornate front finished in white cut stone and plate glass.  A large stone globe will surmount each corner.  The north wall, abutting the building occupied by the Ottawa Granite Co. on the north, will be built with a view to providing a joint wall for the two properties.  The plans provide for subdividing the Dumont area into two store room.  It is probable this work will commence at an early date.
