QUERIES, Volume 2, Number 3 - AUGUST 1994 Charles and Sandra M. Cain Looking for information on the Cain, Kaub, Scovill(e), Blankenbeker, and Gettinger families. These families were early settlers in the
Pomona, Kansas area. Charles paternal grandparents were Lewis and Marietta (Scoville)
Cain. His maternal grandparents were John and Mary Alice (Blankenbeker) Gettinger, and
Great Grandparents were Amanda (Roberts) and Benjamin Newton

Reuben owned land in Peoria Township between 1870 and 1900. His wife was George Ann Pieratt. She is buried in Peoria Cemetery. Earl P. Otto Looking for information on William Glidden who lived in Douglas County, KS. William was born in Ohio, and his wife Florilla Crawford Glidden born in New York. Florilla went to California eventually and lived with Lydia Ann Glidden Perkins, her daughter, in Modoc, CA. What happened to William? William Glidden was in Howard County, KS in 1870, living near John H. Perkins and his wife Lydia Ann. Joseph Meyer I am searching for someone who knew of or is a relative of Mrs. Anna Sexton, who lived in Centropolis at that time her brother Robert A. Harmon passed away, June 17, 1941 in Kansas City, KS. My wife is
the great grandaughter of Robert and we need to find out about his other relatives and his

Barclay, Cora Lee Maddox Barclay (James and Cora were in
Oklahoma by 1900), Thomas D. Smith, son of Albert G. Smith
and Dora Lee Akers Smith, Dora the daughter of Joel Akers Jr.
(left Kansas in 1897 to move to Oklahoma). Verna M. Williams Looking for information about the Minnick and Hopkins families who were in the Centropolis area in the 1860's. Tom Glickman Looking for information about: Ezekial & Elizabeth Bunyan,

1870's in the Ottawa area; Michael & Julia McCarthy O'Flaherty (Flaherty), 1870's to
1950's in the Emerald community south of Williamsburg, and Edmund & Julia Sullivan McCarthy, 1868 to 1910 in Melvern Township, Osage County.
