Newton married Mary J. Collett, daughter of Henry and Perlexey Gerard Collett.. Another son of William's was Alfred L. Thornbrugh who married Missouri Swink, daughter of D. B. Swink.

Researching the Plattenburg/Plattenberger name and am interested in any information on James Plattenburg. He was born 12 Feb 1846 in Strougdsburg, PA, and moved to Ottawa Twp., Franklin County, sometime between 1870 and 1880. His family is listed in the 1880 census, Volume 15, Sheet 18, Line 43. Census lists two daughters, Mildred and Edith, born approx. 1877 and 1879.This Census record is the only information I have regarding his life after he left Pennsylvania.

Researching Mann and Wilkersons. John Ace Mann is buried in Howard Cemetery. John had two sons that went West. Story goes that they were killed in a gun fight. It's kind of sketchy - don't know if one or both sons were involved. Just that the bodies were returned to Kansas. They dates I have show the same year, 1916. Their names were John Walter Mann and Clarence Crawford Mann. Also interested in Samuel T. Wilkerson, born 1825 Adair Co., KY, died 20 Apr 1893 in Franklin Co., KS, and his wife Lucy Ann Wright, born 1823 Adair Co., KY, died 23 Aug 1872, Pomona, KS.

He disappeared from Missouri in the 1860's but I have found a letter from him to his daughter written from Franklin County, KS.
